Need for Speed Hot Pursuit launches you into a new open-world landscape behind the wheel of the world’s fastest and most beautiful cars. From Criterion, the award-winning studio behind the Burnout series, Hot Pursuit will redefine racing games for a whole new generation.
You’ll experience stunning speeds, takedowns, and getaways as you battle your friends in the most connected Need for Speed game ever. Through Need for Speed Autolog and its innovative approach to connected social competition, your Hot Pursuit experience will extend beyond the console onto the web, constantly moving your gameplay in new and unique directions.
Loaded with action, this game will challenge you to become Seacrest County’s top cop or most wanted racer. For the first time ever in a Need for Speed game, you’ll be able to play a full career on either side of the law. This fall, whether you’re a lead-foot speeder or a cop with a mean streak, make sure your aviators are spotless and your driving record is anything but.
Features:
#Racers
We’re lucky to live in Seacrest County, with mile after mile of pristine scenery – mountains to the sea – without any slow, plodding buses or ugly skyscrapers to pollute the landscape. The roads are perfect, smooth tarmac, just begging for you to take your McLaren MP4-12C out for a spin. A car with that much power can’t be wasted going the speed limit, so floor it! Be careful, though, because the Seacrest County PD, are always just around the corner, looking for an unsuspecting racer to bust. They’re packing supercar power on their side too, so escaping pursuits isn’t as easy as it once was. Their cruisers are expensive to buy and maintain, so if you get busted, be prepared to pay through the nose to get your ride back.
In every pursuit, you will gain Bounty, which goes toward making you the Most Wanted racer in Seacrest County. Gain enough Bounty and you’ll unlock more adrenaline-pumping chases, special Racer-exclusive weapons to keep the cops off your tail, and most importantly, even more cars. Check out the full list.
#Cops
Congratulations, you’ve passed through the interview process and are now a member of the Seacrest County PD. Here are your aviators and keys to a Lamborghini Reventon. This place is a haven for high-powered speeders, and we’ve decided to fight fire with fire. But a dream fleet like this won’t pay for itself, so get out there and start busting speeders, son. To help you along the way, we’ll also equip you with a variety of weapons – from spike strips to helicopters. But use them wisely, because our chopper pilots absolutely hate their lunch breaks interrupted by a trigger-happy rookie.
We don’t care what you have to do. If you see a car travelling at an unsafe speed, the chase is on, no need to ask for permission. The more speeders you bust, the more Bounty you receive. Get more Bounty and you’ll advance up the police ladder, unlocking more challenging chases and events, as well as, wait for it … faster cruisers. Have a look at the entire squad.
#Autolog
The heart of Need for Speed Hot Pursuit is Autolog, which is where your journey begins every time you enter Seacrest County. Autolog is the intelligent engine at the center of our most connected Need for Speed ever, keeping you in the middle of the action both in and out of the game. Through Autolog, you can track your career and game stats, check out all your captured photos, brag about your latest accomplishments, and jump directly into challenges recommended by Autolog’s comparison engine based on your friends’ gameplay.
And all of this will be extended to the Hot Pursuit website, as well. You’ll be able to easily upload your Autolog profile picture from your computer, run a side-by-side stats comparison with any of your friends, text-chat directly with any friend in the game, and most importantly, save any Autolog Recommendation for the next time that you’re in the game. This way, if you check the site on your lunch break and see that one of your buddies just knocked you out of first place on a given race, you can make sure it’s all cued up the next time you’re in the game.
#Cars
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit features the hottest cars, with absolutely no “fillers”. You’ll be able to tear around the scenic routes of Seacrest County in some of the most powerful rides on the planet, many of them appearing for the first time ever as police vehicles. You’ll be able to take down the racers behind the wheel of a cop-spec Pagani Zonda Cinque, or trade your badge for the thrill of outrunning Seacrest County’s Finest in a Dodge Viper SRT10.
